Subject of implementation

• Applicable to domestic agencies, organizations and individuals and foreign organizations and individuals (hereinafter referred to as organizations and individuals) with activities related to the exploitation and use of underground water resources in the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Legal basis

• Law on Water Resources No. 17/2012/QH13 was passed by the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on June 21, 2012, effective from January 1, 2013.
• Decree No. 201/2013/ND-CP of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Water Resources Decree No. 18/2015/ND-CP dated February 14, 2015 of the Government regulating environmental planning, environmental impact assessment, environmental protection plans, effective from February 14, 2015.
• Circular No. 27/2014/TT-BTNMT dated May 30, 2014 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment regulating the registration of underground water exploitation, application form for granting, extending, adjusting, and re-granting water resources licenses.

• General plan, water supply, rainwater and wastewater drainage drawings
• Drawings of water treatment systems (if any)
• Well drilling contract/invoice
