  • Fractional distillation: Modern control system, stable product quality; high investment cost, complex operation, requiring large and stable input materials. There are enterprises focusing on specialized treatment of waste oil with relatively modern scale and technology.
  • The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has issued QCVN 56:2013/BTNMT, which provides technical regulations and requirements for recycled waste oil.
  • Process: Neutralize the electrolyte solution, then dismantle and separate the lead plates and plastic shells. Manual or mechanized demolition. Lead and plastic are smelted and recycled on site or sent to recycling units.
  • Raw lead continues to be put into the refining process; some units have invested in additional electrolysis systems to obtain high-content lead.
  • Recycling and recovering metals by mechanical methods: Grinding, then separating metal and non-metal mixtures by gravity. The recovered products are of low quality. Currently, there are 15 units licensed to apply this technology.
  • Recycling and recovering metals by chemical methods: Grinding, mechanical separation, metals are recovered by chemical reactions to separate metals. The obtained products are of high purity. There are 05 units licensed.
  • Recycling and recovering metals by electrolysis: This method obtains metal products of high purity. Currently, only a few units apply it on a pilot scale. Requires industrial-scale equipment and stable input materials.
  • Using a rotary kiln to carry out the treatment process: Steel furnace dust is loaded into a rotary kiln with a slope, so when the kiln rotates, raw materials and fuel will be moved from the low temperature area (loading head) to the high temperature area. The closer to the end of the kiln, the higher the firing temperature.
  • Zinc in the furnace dust evaporates at a temperature of 1100-1150ºC, zinc vapor will be completely oxidized to form ZnO and recovered at the fabric bag dust filter system; other impurities remain in the slag in the form of stable compounds that are insoluble in water, cooled with water and recovered.
