The People's Committee of Dak Nong province has just issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of VND440.1 million on Long Huy Hung Dak Nong Company Limited, which operates in the field of chopstick and paper production.
 
In addition to the fine, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province also suspended paper production activities at the Company's chopstick and paper factory for a period of 4 months to remedy the consequences.
 
Long Huy Hung Dak Nong Company (located in Hamlet 7, Dak Ha Commune, Dak Glong District, Dak Nong Province) was fined because during its operation from April 2014 to present, it has not fully implemented one of the environmental protection commitments that has been confirmed by a competent state agency.
 
This company discharges wastewater containing non-hazardous environmental parameters that exceed the technical standards for waste by 10 times or more (BOD 5 index exceeds 31.96 times) into the environment with a capacity of 100-200 m³/day; Discharge of production wastewater with a color level 25.6 times higher than the technical standards...
 
At the same time, discharge of wastewater containing non-hazardous environmental parameters exceeding the technical standards on waste by 10 times or more (BOD 5 index exceeding 15.9 times) into the environment with a wastewater volume of less than 5 m3/day (24 hours).
